Presbyterian
Women
is open to
Presbyterian
women of any age,
and exists to
build community
and affirm
women's calls to
leadership.
Although their
purpose is
primarily
missions, there
is good
fellowship to be
had at every
gathering, and
varied "circles"
within the larger
group to fit
multiple
interests. Horizons Bible Study - meets the first Wednesday of each month through May. The study this year is "In the Beginning: Perspectives on Genesis." The authors write: "The study will note the role that culture plays in the ways stories are fold. How were men and women in biblical times shaped by societal roles of the ancient Near East? How are we shaped by, sometimes trapped by, our culture's expectations for us? What do we do with difficulties in our lives? What can the stories tell us about our perpetual struggle to understand God's nature and God's purposes for us and for the world?" Following the study each month, a light lunch will be served.
