By
Session action this committee is made up of two Elders from the Session, one of
whom is Chair, appointed by the Moderator, one Trustee, appointed by the Board
of Trustees, and two at large members of the congregation, appointed by the
Chair of the Committee and approved by the Session. This Committee shall:
Review
salaries of all members of the Church Staff prior to the first meeting of the
Budget Committee, and make recommendation to the Session, Budget Committee or
Congregation as is appropriate.
Meet
with Church Staff individually at least one time per year to review position
description, evaluate performance and review compensation.
Serve
as support for Church Staff, being available if there is need related to
position responsibility.
Review
all position descriptions and revise as necessary.
Maintain a personnel manual that contains position descriptions for all church
employees and the church policies and regulations as pertaining to employees.
In
consultation with appropriate other committees of Session and Trustees, resolve
personnel problems, discharge personnel as necessary and fill vacant positions
as needed.
