On behalf of Session, to be
responsible for Church Stewardship through:
Convening a Budget Committee, made up of committee chairs, the Church Treasurer,
the President of the Board of Trustees, and any others invited by the
Stewardship Committee to recommend an annual budget to the Session and the Board
of Trustees.
Recommending to the Session, prior to the meeting of the Budget Committee, the
Mission portion of the budget.
Recommending to the Session any special offerings to be received as may be
recommended by the denomination or deemed locally desirable, and administering
the receipt of any such approved offerings.
Developing and supervising the Annual Stewardship Commitment program, including
any stewardship education as may be approved with the children and youth of the
church.
Overseeing investment of all Church funds.
Serving as liaison with the Board of Trustees, Church Treasurer and Financial
Secretary.
In
cooperation with the Board of Trustees recommending to Session charges to
outside groups who use our facilities and rental rates for outside groups using
our facilities on a continuing basis.
Administering the Memorial Fund and advising on its use. This fund shall be
used to supplement the regularly budgeted funds in the areas of Worship and
Christian Education. Persons who give memorials with specific requests shall be
consulted as to how the moneys are used so that their requests are honored.
Memorial Funds shall not be used for regular expenses such as salaries,
operating expenses, maintenance or repairs.
Appointing an Audit Committee of 3 members-at-large from the congregation to
audit the church books on an annual basis.
Be
responsible for the administration of the Charitable Gift Annuity Fund
