Assist the minister in planning and conducting the Worship Service in conformity to the standards of the Directory for Worship.

Be
liaison with Director of Music, Organist and other choir directors in
establishing contracts, setting budget, and relating music program to total
ministry of the church.

Appoint Chairperson for the Flower Committee to schedule, display and
distribute flowers in the chancel.

Appoint
Head Usher to administer ushering at all worship services.

To
work with the Minister regarding supplies for pulpit during time of
vacation or in event of emergency absence.

In
cooperation with the Minister to develop policy guidelines for the
observance of weddings, funerals, and other occasional services of worship.

To
prepare the elements for the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism, to
care for the sacramental vessels and linens and to properly clean the
vessels and dispose of remaining elements following Service.

To
recommend to Session appropriate times for the celebration of the
Sacraments.

To
work with the Minister to insure the regular distribution of Holy
Communion to homebound members.
