Elena Lebedeva Millar, classical pianist, and Nikita Burakovsky, violinist, make up the Russian Duet, two gifted Russian solo artists coming together for an evening of beautiful music!
Elena began her formal classical piano lessons at Polyakov Music School for Children in Moldova, where she was born. She received degrees in Solo Classical Piano Performance and Music Theory from Rachmaninov College of Music. While earning her Master’s Degree, she participated in local and foreign competitions where she received many awards. Since moving to the United States, she has performed many solo concerts, as well as ensembles and duets with other musicians. She has performed with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra, and on WITF.
Originally from Kazakhstan, Mr. Burakovsky studied at St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music, and then went to Musical College N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov of Saint Petersburg. He graduated from there with top honors. He continued his schooling earning his Master’s Degree in 2011. He has performed in concert halls across Russia, and with many of the well-known Russian orchestras. Since coming to the United States, he continues to perform and teaches privately.
