The first full week in August has become an opportunity for the wider membership of St. Andrews to participate in multiple local mission projects. The above video clearly shows the variety of projects that were accomplished and the multi-generational nature of the groups that contributed to the effort.
The Mission Committee works very hard to envision, schedule, and recruit for these many projects. The week begins following worship on Sunday, with work and fellowship around the projects that can be done for and at St. Andrews. We had letter-writers to our shut-ins, fleece blankets being assembled, painting and cleanup on St. Andrews building and grounds, making plarn for sleeping mats, and cookie baking for mission week activities, Other projects through the week included work at Mission Central in Camp Hill, painting at a local playground, and cleanup of the Rail Trail.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Mission Committee and to each person who helped with Mission Week in any way!
