This concert will be streamed live! If you are out of town or unable to leave your home, you can watch it here at 7:30 pm on Friday, February 23.

On Friday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m., Applause…Memorable Music at St. Andrews will present its second concert of the 2017-18 season. Third Stream, under the leadership of Tom Strohman, began over 40 years ago in a Hershey garage, and grew to become one of the finest contemporary music groups in the Mid-Atlantic region. Although the style, Third Stream, is known as a fusion of Classical music and jazz, the group actually thought of three streams of water flowing into a larger body of water, when they named their group.

Over the years, the group has taken these streams and played the full spectrum of jazz: Dixieland, swing, be-bop, fusion, free, etc. The group continues to refine their sound, expanding with exciting new arrangements and compositions, bringing quality music to their audiences.

We are thrilled to welcome Third Stream to our sanctuary for this concert. The current ensemble members include: Tom Strohman (flute, alto flute, pennywhistle, ocarina; Jim Miller (acoustic and electric bass); Jim Easton (guitar); John Peifer (drums); and Greg Strohman (trombone and piano). We hope you all will plan to be in the audience to enjoy the exciting and interesting sounds of Third Stream.

There is no admission…a free-will offering will be accepted. A reception will follow the concert. All are welcome!
